Volkswagen South Africa: Bursaries 2022
Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) is committed to addressing the skills shortage within all sectors in our country and supports the skills development of our youth. VWSA will be offering a limited number of comprehensive bursaries to qualifying candidates, studying towards a qualification at a formal tertiary institution in South Africa.
Fields of study:
Students registered as full time (first, second or third year) students may apply in the following fields of study:
- Mechanical Engineering;
- Electrical Engineering;
- Mechatronics;
- Industrial Engineering;
- Production/Operations Management;
- Software Development (I.T.);
- Applied Mathematics / Data Sciences;
- Finance / Accounting;
- Financial Information Systems;
- Purchasing / Logistics / Supply Chain.
Requirements:
- South African Citizen or permanent resident in South Africa (permanent residence must be supported by a letter from Department of Home Affairs)
- Grade 12: Bachelor’s Pass with a minimum average of 70%
- Tertiary level: A minimum average of 65%
- All candidates will need to undergo screening, shortlisting and an interview, as well as psychometric assessments.
- Candidates must meet the VWSA Equity requirements.
What will the Bursary include?
- All fees – Registration/Tuition, accommodation, meals, books and stationery;
- Vacation work;
- Mentoring and development during bursary programme;
- Additional study support; and
- Laptop provided for study purposes.
