South African National Zakah Fund (SANZAF): Bursaries 2022
South African National Zakah Fund (SANZAF) is committed to the upliftment and empowerment of the community. This objective is realised through several developmental programmes undertaken by us.
However, the primary target group in this regard are those that society, in general, have forgotten or neglected and who have generally described a “poverty-stricken” individuals/families, i.e. the unemployed, those with menial or low paying jobs and those with insufficient income.
SANZAF offers partial funding towards payment of fees only. We therefore strongly encourage applicants to apply for other bursaries such as NSFAS.
Requirements
- South African or foreign national with a study permit
- Must reside in the province of which you are applying
- Must have proven financial need
- Must be from a previously disadvantaged background
NB. This bursary is for people who reside in Western Cape, East London and Port Elizabeth/Gqeberha. SANZAF offers partial funding towards payment of fees only. We therefore strongly encourage
applicants to apply for other bursaries such as NSFAS.
