Latical is a boutique digital agency that specializes in transformation. We work with clients all over the world, developing powerful brands that connect with customers in meaningful ways.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an English speaking university student in the areas of Digital marketing, Graphic design, Web design, Media, or similar study looking to gain credits in a designer, creative internship of up to 6 months.
This position is for a young designer who wants to learn how to gain experience and operate in a new business. They will get the opportunity to showcase and improve their design skills and develop their critical thinking in the context of a design centered business.
The candidate will also need to be savvy with the key social media platforms, have good verbal and written communication skills, as well as organisation and prioritization skills. The intern will be working with the directors on different projects, so he or she will need to have the ability to work collaboratively and interact with various stakeholders.
Creative:
- Under the direction and guidance of the Creative Director, assist with the delivery of allocated projects against deliverables.
- The intern will learn how to articulate and deliver on creative direction as well as learn to develop their critical thinking from both a design and business perspective
Production:
- Assist with development of graphic design assets
- Assist with the web design projects
- Assist with the marketing and design of social media posts
- Assist with putting together client facing presentations including wording and layout (use of Canva)
- Assist with the overall creative process which may include image and video sourcing, retouching, grading and editing
Duration: This is an experience based internship for 3 months with the option to become a full time paid internship and subsequently job. If you come on board the Latical venture, we don’t expect you to know it all, but we want you to be hungry enough to learn it all, demonstrate a capacity to listen and implement successfully, have a strong attention to detail, as well as a sense of initiative and creativity.
Key duties & proficiencies
- Proficiency required in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch or Figma and Canva
- Proficiency or willingness to develop proficiency in Webflow
- Advantage if candidate has proficiency or willingness to develop proficiency with video editing suites like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier
- Advantage if candidate has proficiency or willingness to develop proficiency with motion graphics suites like Adobe After Effects or Apple Motion
